Honestly, this is a really great manipulation! I love the colors, and you did a good job of carrying the background scheme into the horse. The only problem I can see is the mane and tail painting. I know, it's really hard. But there is no depth to them. I can't see shadows or highlights. There are no wispies, no sections that come off from the whole. I think you wound improve greatly by studying some stock of horses in motion so you can get a better idea of how the hair moves.
